(Please read carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. Once you begin your tour, by default you accept these terms and conditions.)
Once Award Tours and Safaris Ltd confirms your booking a contract is made between Award Tours and Safaris Ltd and yourself upon the terms and conditions set out below. Award Tours and Safaris Ltd, Hereinafter referred to as ‘we’, will only confirm your booking once we have received full payment for your tour.
A. Booking
Once full payment is made you will be allocated a place/places on the particular tour and a confirmation emailed to you. This is your confirmation of booking. This should be printed and saved for own reference. Once you begin you tour, you accept and abide by these terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility for incorrect email or inability to deliver email. If your confirmation does not arrive on time or at all, then you must ask us to resend the email confirmation of the tours you have paid for. All online bookings will be confirmed by email. We reserve the right to sell any places reserved without full payment or a deposit. It is the responsibility of the Clients/passengers to check the accuracy of dates booked upon receipt of their travel documents.

Lake Ellis
Trek through lush forests to reach Lake Ellis at 3470m, offering a serene environment and a peaceful overnight stay.
Vivienne Waterfall
Marvel at Vivienne Waterfall, a hidden gem along the trek, with crystal-clear waters plunging through the gorges below.
Mugi Hill
Ascend to Mugi Hill for breathtaking panoramic views of the Samburu plains, with the Great Rift Valley in sight.
Hinde Valley

Nithi Falls

Itinerary Details
Day 1: Nairobi – Chogoria – Lake Ellis
Today’s Highlights
• 9.8 Km Trek from from Chogoria Gate, Meru Bandas to Lake Ellis
• 600 M ASL Altitude Gain from Chogoria Gate to Mugi Hill
• 520 M ASL Altitude Gain from Chogoria Gate via Mugi Hill to Lake Ellis
• Lunch to be served at Road Head Picnic area
• Dinner and overnight at Lake Ellis
Early headstart. Pick up in Nairobi at designed place to depart to Chogoria Gate Mount Kenya. Trek starts at Chogoria gate following the track through giant heather and forest through Chogoria Road. Head where the path drops to cross a stream to Nithi falls. Here you will enjoy the magical roar of this Nithi falls, each drop gushing over the rocks. The views are amazing, the fall has a beautiful serenity-pool at the bottom, veneer clear plunging down the mountain. This is a motivation to move up to picnic area where lunch will be served.

Proceed right, to Mugi Hills with magical views of Table Mountain, descend down to Lake Ellis which will be our home for the Night. Behold the sight. Nothing beats the feeling of spending a night just next to a lake and a night full of stars. This is already a special experience since not many get to spend a night on this lake. Lake Ellis lies at 3470m above sea level.

Day 2: Lake Ellis to Lake Michelson
Today’s Highlights:
• 6.5 Km Trek from Lake Ellis to Lake Michaelson
• 400 M ASL Altitude Gain from Lake Ellis to Lake Michaelson
• Lunch to be served at Lake Michaelson View point Picnic area
• Dinner and overnight at Lake Ellis
After breakfast walk from Lake Ellis to Lake Michelson through Hinde Valley gradually above the Vivienne waterfall view point. Trek down to Gorges valley just above Vivienne Falls to Lake Michelson at 3800m above sea level. After Lunch proceed to Lake Michelson which will be our accommodation site for the night. The Hike from Lake Ellis to Lake Michaelson takes up 6-7 hours

Day 3: Lake Michelson – Simba Turn
Today’s Highlights:
• 3.8 Km Trek from Lake Michaelson to Simba Turn
• 800 M ASL Altitude Gain from Lake Michaelson to Simba Turn • Lunch to be served at Simba Turn
• Dinner and overnight at Simba Turn
After Breakfast we hike up to Simba Tarn. The hike takes between 2-3 hrs. The trail leads you up via gorges valley gate with small waterfalls gushing over the rocks. It’s a short hike up as the summit day gets closer this short hike will allow us to relax as we wait to summit the following morning. Settle in the camp on the edge of Simba Tarn, just below the peaks. Simba Tarn stands at 4500m above sea level.

Day 4: Simba Tarn – Point Lenana
Today’s Highlights:
• Mountain Summit
• 4.1 Km Trek from Simba Turn to Point Lenana
• 385 M ASL Altitude Gain from Simba Turn to Point Lenana
Early breakfast, and then head up to Point Lenana. Trek up to point Lenana where magical views await us. Enjoy the views, beyond horizon, have moment for self. Congratulations for making it to point Lenana after the summit we descend down to Simba Tarn for breakfast and after breakfast we trek down to Chogoria gate, connect with transport back to Nairobi
