Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam
Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the elegant Serena Hotel Dar es Salaam. Take some time to relax and unwind after your flight, enjoying the hotel’s comfort and hospitality. Overnight at Serena Dar es Salaam on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Flight to Selous (Julius Nyerere National Park)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Selous, now officially known as Julius Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge, spotting diverse wildlife along the way. Lunch will be served at the lodge, followed by an afternoon at leisure. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner and spend the night at Serena Mivumo River Lodge.
Day 3: Full Day in Selous National Park
Spend the day exploring the vast wilderness of Selous on scheduled game viewing drives, encountering elephants, lions, hippos, and a variety of birdlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the scenic Rufiji River, where you can witness a stunning sunset while sipping sundowners. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Serena Mivumo River Lodge.
Day 4: Explore Selous & Fly Fishing on River Rufiji
After breakfast, embark on another exciting day of wildlife adventures within Selous. Enjoy game drives through the park’s diverse landscapes, followed by a unique fly fishing experience on the Rufiji River. Later, unwind at the lodge and relish a delightful dinner before spending another peaceful night at Serena Mivumo River Lodge.
Day 5: Departure
Enjoy breakfast at leisure before transferring to the airstrip for your return flight to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, connect with your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable Selous luxury safari.
