Itinerary Details
Day 1: Lamu
Welcome to Lamu! Upon arrival at the airport, we’ll be ready to transfer you to your hotel. You’ll have some free time until the tour begins.
Day 2: Lamu Yoga Festival
The day begins with guest arrivals and registration at the Kashbah Art & Culture Space from 10:00 am onwards. Between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm, participants will have a relaxed “Meet & Greet” session, with time to unwind — lunch will be at guests’ own cost. At 3:00 pm, warm‑up yoga sessions take place across different venues, preparing participants for the official Opening Ceremony and Fire Ritual at Shela Beach from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The evening concludes with dinner and drinks at the Kashbah Art & Culture Space between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm (guests to cater for their own meals and drinks).
Day 3: Lamu Yoga Festival
The day starts early with yoga on Shela Beach from 6:30 am to 7:30 am and simultaneous pranayama and meditation sessions at other venues. At 8:00 am, “Meet Your Tribe” gatherings provide opportunities to connect with fellow participants, followed by yoga and workshops from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. From 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm, the group regathers at Kashbah Art & Culture Space for another relaxed “Meet & Greet” session (lunch to be covered by participants). Afternoon sessions include yoga workshops at different venues from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, as well as an optional Mangrove Dhow & Swim excursion from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Bahari Jetty (registration and additional payment required). At 5:00 pm, guests can join a dune walk and meditation experience at Shela Dunes. The evening culminates with a Swahili dinner back at Kashbah Art & Culture Space from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Day 4: Lamu Yoga Festival
Begin the morning with Early Bird Yoga on Shela Beach from 6:30 am, alongside pranayama and meditation sessions. Workshops run from 8:15 am until 11:30 am, followed by a “Meet Your Tribe” session at 11:45 am across different venues. From 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, participants enjoy a “Meet & Greet & Relax” at Kashbah Art & Culture Space (lunch at own cost). The afternoon brings further workshops from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, and an optional Mangrove Dhow & Swim at Bahari Jetty between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The day ends in magical fashion with an Exploration Evening at Manda Beach from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
Day 5: Lamu Yoga Festival
The final day begins with Early Bird Yoga at Shela Beach at 6:30 am and pranayama meditation at alternate venues shortly thereafter. At 8:00 am, participants reconnect during “Meet Your Tribe” sessions, before starting the last round of yoga and workshops from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Another relaxing “Meet & Greet” takes place at Kashbah Art & Culture Space until 2:30 pm, with lunch at own cost. Afternoon workshops run from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm, culminating in a spectacular Sunset Dhow Trip at Bahari Jetty between 5:15 pm and 7:00 pm. The festival closes with a heartfelt Celebration Cacao Ceremony and Dance at Manda Beach from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, your journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
