Day 1: Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru national park is a premier park on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. A two hour’s drive from Kenya’s capital city Nairobi takes you to this enchanting park known as the “Bird watchers paradise” it hosts over 450 species of birds.
This park has the highest population of rhinos and it also hosts other wildlife e.g. lions, leopards, buffaloes which make it an excellent wildlife destination. You will enjoy the parks ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Explore beyond the park, hyrax hill and you will find a world of discoveries that date back to the time of Neolithic.
Hyrax Hill museum: It was named after hyraxes which are found in abundance, living in the cracks within rocks found in the area. It depicts the lifestyle of seasonal settlement by prehistoric people of at least 3,000years old.
