Day 1: The Carnivore Restaurant
0830hrs We meet at the Nairobi national museum Walk begins from the museum with a tour of the Nairobi national museum. Walk down museum hill through Harry Thuku road. 1100hrs pick up from Harry Thuku road and proceed to Kambui. Arrive at Harry Thuku’s residence where we meet his surviving widow and take a tour of the farm. Located about 60 kilometres, northwest of Nairobi, the house built in 1938 overlooks a lush landscape of peaceful green planted in coffee.
Welcome to Thuku’s Perched aerie-high on a ridge with a breathtaking view of the Ngong Hills, the Kambui home of Harry Thuku still stands, dazzlingly defiant in the sunlight. Take a farm tour. 1430hrs depart for Nairobi. Drop off city centre
