Overview
Amboseli national park is one of Kenya’s premium parks. Its signature attraction is the sight of hundreds of big-tusked elephant herds set against the backdrop of Africa’s best views of Mt Kilimanjaro.
Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty – and the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro at the backdrop. Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular tourist destination.

In addition to the guaranteed elephant sightings, you’ll also see wildebeest and zebras, and you’ve a reasonable chance of spotting lions, cheetahs and hyenas and in a rare dramatic show – a kill. The park is also home to over 370 bird species, and it has an excellent array of lodges and an agreeably mild, dry climate.
