Northwest of Nairobi at an elevation of 1,754m above sea level is Lake Nakuru national park.
The park lies to the south of Nakuru town, in the Great Rift Valley. The park is home to rhinos, giraffes, lions, leopards, hartebeests, antelopes, Zebra and many other animal species. The lake’s abundance of algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore

Itinerary:,

Day starts with meet up at a common place in Nairobi city near Kencom bus station at 0600hrs for departure at 0700hrs for Nakuru
Take a scenic drive towards Nakuru. Enjoy the panorama at Great Rift Valley view point where you can see all major attractions such as Mount Longonot and the escarpments.
1000hrs: Arrive at the Lake Nakuru National park one of Kenya’s premier parks for a great day of game viewing
Flanked by rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest and at least one waterfall, the park is gorgeous year-round. Lake Nakuru national park is a hotspot for birding. It is a great birding destination with more than 500 species recorded the soda lake supports a lot of birdlife, including large flocks of pelican
